Root canals no longer need to be dreaded words. The treatment can usually be done right here in the office in one appointment. You no longer have to go to a specialist or other dental office. If you need to have a root canal treatment, it usually means the nerve of your tooth is dead or beginning to die. This usually causes pain and/or swelling.

In order to treat the condition, the nerve of the tooth needs to be removed, leaving a tooth which is easily restored with a crown.
