Tooth Whitening We offer two types of teeth whitening: in office or take home. Both offer similar results but in office will work much faster. In office whitening will take just over an hour to dramatically brighten your smile on the same visit. While you sit in the dental chair listening to your choice of CD quality music, a protective gel is placed on your gums. The whitening gel is then applied to your teeth for two or three 20 minute sessions (depending on desired results).
Take home whitening will take at least two visits. The first visit is to take impressions of your teeth for custom made trays that will hold the whitening material. In a day or so, you will return for your trays and the whitening gel and instructions for use. You can choose a stronger solution where you should wear your trays for 1-2 hours a day for 5-10 days. The weaker solution is used for those patients who want to wear their trays overnight. Both methods offer similar results.
Teeth Cleaning A regular, thorough dental cleaning is a must for a healthy mouth. Most adults should be seen every six months for a cleaning, periodontal screening, dental examination, and oral cancer screening.
We’ll make sure your teeth and gums are in good health and check for gum disease, decayed or broken teeth, worn our fillings, and recommend the needed treatment.
Tooth Colored Fillings Ugly silver fillings are now a thing of the past because we only use tooth colored fillings at Mill City Dental.
The benefits of composite or tooth colored fillings include: the filling is bonded or glued into place, less healthy tooth structure has to be removed for placement, the filling can often strengthen the remaining tooth, and your tooth looks natural!
Crowns and Bridges
To help make your smile as natural looking as can be, porcelain crowns and bridges are the treatment of choice at Mill City Dental.
No longer do you have to live with unsightly metal dental work.
Oral Surgery Oral surgery is offered at Mill City Dental.
Simple extractions can be done here in the office. For more difficult procedures, we will refer you to an excellent oral surgeon who will treat you with care.
Children's Dentistry We love kids at Mill City Dental! Regular cleanings, checkups and fluoride treatments are recommended every six months. If a cavity is found, Dr. Jay and his staff will be happy to see your child and treat him/her with care and kindness.
A typical age for your child’s first visit is around 3 years old.
Orthodontics Straightening your teeth is no longer just for children. Adults and kids alike are able to use braces to move crowded or spaced teeth.
Ask Dr. Williams if orthodontics is right for you.
Implants If you’re missing one or multiple teeth, you have many options to replace them. Dental implants are a predictable treatment option. Surgically placed titanium cylinders can replace one, or all of your teeth.
Ask Dr. Williams if you’re interested in dental implants.
Dentures Dentures and partial dentures are both treatment options at Mill City Dental.
